Create projects and develop programs that reduce the impacts of disparities in healthcare access, mental health, substance abuse, infant mortality, voting, policies, and financial disparities that lead to unhealthy individuals and communities.
Inclusiveness and commitment to representation that foster’s diversity and inclusivity in our work. We provide space for open dialogue where no voice is not heard, seen, or valued.
Our focus is getting to the people who need us the most. We create an environment that is based on a holistic approach of the physical mind, body, and soul. We work and support smaller organizations that allow us to nurture transformational relationships with real assistance. We examine communities holistically and support work that nurtures genuine and transformational relationships within low income and low wealth communities. We commit to work that empowers communities by understanding and addressing different forms of oppression that impact the quality of people’s lives.
We strive to live responsible and productive lives that adhere to values and standards set forth as an individual that leads to the success of the individuals and families that we serve knowing that God is watching our every move and motive in our daily lives leading to peaceful and productive lives amongst each other no matter what race, religion, or sex. Our charitable contributions to the world are not only financial but our integrity and credibility in the places where we live, which is America as a whole. We will be the cornerstone that shows that diversity and inclusion are the only way to live peacefully and successfully in the world in which we live.
The world changes and we change by adapting with the waves of victories as well as setbacks. Know that no good deed goes unpunished in this world. We can fall but we will always get up.
Our collaborations are strategic to build strong coalitions building ties that can withstand the pressures of building , we aim to build a broad coalition that cross sector partnerships and collaborations that result in shared strategies to shape collective impact to influence sustained change.
We will foster a learning community where NC Counts Coalition and partners can share knowledge and learn from each other. We commit to challenging ourselves and looking past short-term impact for long-term solutions that will advance equity.
We were made to work together. Separately we are weak and shakeable during the storms that we face as we work to build safe, fair, equitable policies. We work diligently to strengthen our partners because that strengthens our collective impact. Our focus is clear and focused tactics and strategies that are in alignment with our mission, vision and values, and relationships that result in impact.
Building equity is the foundation of our infrastructure. Our partners are our strength. We consistently work for equity building strong partnerships to reduce silos, maximize resources and incorporate diverse voices with the intention to shift power dynamics and create systemic change that achieves a healthy, just and equitable North Carolina.
